Gift for a graduate

Here’s another keepsake box I’ve recently completed. Made of curly maple and walnut. Finished in satin lacquer and inside bottom lined in blue velvet.

This is a gift for the grandson of my cousin’s mother in law. A recent graduate of University of Illinois.

Another beauty! The layered walls gives a cool detail on the box joints.
Nicely done…although I’m not sure I could follow the lineage of the recipient, but that doesn’t matter!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Thank you both

Looks like a perfect build, smooth!
Really top level project.  The layering of the finger joints is eye catching.
