Hand carved? No turning? Dang! That's awesome!
Very nice. Interesting way to assemble them without apparently doing all the cuts required for a pie shaped segmented bowl parts.

Could you give a description of how you assembled and then carved them
Nicely done!  What are the general sizes?
Great looking bowls, but I really love the legs you are using, quite creative.

Please expand on what tools, and methods you use to hand carve. I am going into this a bit, and my favorite tool for the bowls is my  Arbortech Ball Gouge. For much of the rest of the shaping my bandsaw does most of it, but there is a lot of sanding, and other finer shaping. How do you do yours?
Neat pattern with the linear segments mixing it up with the rounds. Amazing results with hand carving!
I cut 2x3x7” pieces of basswood and 1/4x3x7”  pieces of Spanish cedar.  Then glued them into a block vertically oriented. Then is cut those blocks into slices wider basswood and thin Spanish cedar. I used the bandsaw to cut the circles. Insides were hollowed with carving gouges and outside shaped with a spokeshave. Last a bit of sanding to smooth the surface.
Thanks for compliments. Never quite sure where my carving will end up these turned out pretty good.
Sizes were about 3x7x7”.   And 2.5x6x6”
George, I have used the arbor tech on some other bowls, usually when using dried hardwoods. Obviously much easier than hand tools. Backbent qouges really help with insides. That and a lot of patience!
Legs are painters points just for taking pictures
well done PP ! thats a lot of work but sure came out nice.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Good looking bowls,  well done.

Nice!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Great segmented bowls and hand carved, too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
