I'm still around. Staying busy.  Just posting some of the stuff I've been doing (for the record)

This is a Kitchen remodel.  I built the new Island, All the uppers, and Hood Cover. Reconfigured a few base cabinets turning doors into drawers and re figured one for the microwave.  Through the archway opening is a pantry with the mirror paneled doors.  It's all white oak with a grey-ish stain coat and lacquered finish.

Here are a few more projects:
This is a walnut bar,  not much else to say about it.  A Flat screen TV goes on the wall in the open space.

Next is an Office Wall Unit.
White Oak with a whitewash and black stained accents.
LED lighting on all the shelves.

Did a home office:
It's actually blue, although it looks black in the pictures.
The tops are Walnut.

And a lot of other boring stuff to boot.

Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.

All great looking stuff…you have been busy!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

It's good to see what you've been up to! It all looks first class.
Glad to see you back and posting.

All are amazing, but extra WOW on the walnut project. For projects of that size, I assume you spray the finish? Looks great.
Glad you are around and posting!

Nice work as always.

It’s always a treat to see your work. It’s always impressive (and massive), definitely high-end.
Lots of nice work there! We're hiring our kitchen remodel.

I showed my husband that walnut bar and commented that a project like that would take me about three years...and that I was quite sure we couldn't afford you working on anything for our home. 😉

Please keep posting - all joking aside, seeing projects like these, and others on this site, are inspiring.
Nice!
Looks like Euro-modern trend, clean lines. That last one has some neat solutions to deal with that window.
Thanks for the nice words from everybody,  it's appreciated.

BB1, As to your question,  yes, I spray everything. I love the precat lacquer. I spray the stains as well.
I won't be posting much more.  I'm 65 and retiring in July or maybe August.
I'm finishing the job I'm working on. (The kitchen above) and then I have one more Kitchen for a buddy that I'm going to do. After that, who knows...

Here is the current build I'm finishing now,  these are 2 units that will be going on each side of a fireplace.

Congrats on the upcoming retirement. Will woodworking become a hobby...frames are fun. 😉
Bently,
Good to see you posting.  You have kept quite busy.  We hope you won't stop woodworking just because you're retired.  That's no excuse!  And it will give you more time to post the projects that you choose to do!
