Shoe Organizer

I built this shoe box for my granddaughter. It is made from 5/8 " Baltic birch plywood. The back panel is 1/2" Baltic birch. The corners are lock mitered and I added 3 gussets to support the wide shelves and the top in case someone sits on it.   It measures 19" x 48" x 12" deep and is finished with semi gloss acrylic enamel.

Well done! "In case someone sits on it"? My wife bought and had one of my sons assemble a particle board shoe rack while I was working out of state. I bet yours was less expensive, and stronger and better, "to boot".

Nice! And good idea to plan for someone sitting on the top.
Nice project Jim. She'll like it. I like your scissor jack work bench.

Nice looking shoe rack Jim, your granddaughter will be very happy with this.
That should hold a lot of shoes.   Well done.

Nicely done.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Nice job Jim! I like your gusset design - stylish and sturdy.
Thank you all for the nice comments. They will pick it up on Tuesday.
Hi Darklightning.........The only cost in this was a quart of paint and narrow paint roller. All the plywood is free- fished out of a dumpster!!

Hi jeffski1. that lift table has proved to be invaluable in the shop. I just cranked it up and down for easy painting!!! It levels out with all the machines in the shop too!!!!

Nice build Jim, heck everyone I know, well there a few in Ky I'm not sure about, but most of us have shoes. Having a shoe garage is a good thing.
Nice work Jim.
