Tooth Fairy Tooth Containers

I was asked to make a couple Tooth Fairy tooth containers to hang on the door knob when the girls lose a tooth. They sent me the photo of one that is sold  that I copied but I just thought it does not have a place to put the $5 or $10 bill when the tooth fairy picks it up!!!
The long board and the tooth are made from1/4" box elder. The little canister with the screw on cap is walnut. The block to hold the canister is made from birdseye maple.
The canister was threaded with a 1/2-20 tap and die.
They are finished with clear satin enamel.
I made a third one for Miles who will be born in August!!!!!!!!!!!

neat idea.  Back in the day it was a quarter    Inflation even for the tooth fairy.

Ron

Yup, a quarter per tooth (60's)!
At least they will now have a proper system, Grandpa Jim to save the day!

too cool jim. same here, 25 cents in the 60's.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

This is a really nice idea and great work Jim. I wish I had been aware of this practice when my grandkids were little, but that's water way over the dam now.
Nice work, I like the threaded container.
