Another Diamond Dot Frame

My wife just finished another diamond dot picture and wanted a frame for it in flat black- so I made one out of pine. Then she said it would be better in  dark brown so I stained it rather than pint it.. The pine had light  and dark lines in it that was unacceptable so I made the frame over out of walnut and  it stained very uniform.
I got to use my new miter sled to make it!
It is finished with clear matte spray finish!!

Looks good, nice picture.   Oh the frame is great also!   Well done!

I agree, the color and wood selected are very nice. Looks like the miter sled is spot on. Nice work.
Another great combination project!  Picture and frame are perfect together.

And, when in doubt, the answer is always walnut. 😉
Kudos to the artist and frame maker. I really like the combination of both. Nice work...
Everything came together swell.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Frame and art are very nice! Wife hasn't asked for framing of a quilt, yet. Though I have made some hanging fixtures for some.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Beautiful Picture. You did a great Job on the Frame, they both blend in well together.
