Yep, I agree, dovetails are a great way to step up any project. Looks like you've been practicing, very nice work.
Indeed!  That's a whole bunch of 'em, too!

Thanks Oldtool! I often handcut dovetails. Love it!

Steven....I have alot more even different from these. I love doing dovetails! 😀
Heh, I like the look, but coming from a mechanical design and machining background, I really don't enjoy doing them. I got an Incra iBOX, but have only used it a couple of times. I really have to hand it to people who do hand sawn dovetails.

Thanks so much Pottz!! I love doing them. I guess that's no surprise for those who see my work.
hey let me ask, you ever do swaps ? kenny is doing his annual beerbq swap where we send a six pack plus a project of whatever you want. so it's beer and bbq and make anything. always a lot of fun. think about it. always good to get a new guy in. and i guarantee a lot of fun. 😎

Awesome!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Rick,

Nice dovetails.  Especially like the first ones, the dovetail dovetails.

Rick,

That is impressive.  I won't be showing any closeups of my hand cut dovetails.

These are extremely impressive especially the rabbit ear one.  It must take very sharp tools and steady hands.
Makes for interesting results in a project.

Thanks Steve and Ryan!

Thank you Dave! I believe those and versions thereof are technically called swallowtails. Glad you like them.

Thank you very much Birdseye49!  Yes for sure that tools must be sharp! Both saws and chisels. Hands have to be steady. If not there will be gaps between tails and pins.
