Custom Bar Build

So this was a fun project. The counter and the bar top are made up of 6 2x8x10' southern yellow pine with a flood coat of epoxy for the finish on top of a stain which was a few different colors in one. The arm rest I ended up making on my table saw due to the fact the ones you order online come in 6' pieces and I didn't want to have any seam to have to hide and made it out of a 10' 2x6 and the radius I did order online which I wasnt even about to attempt to make that piece but the customers were very happy and when the customers happy, I'm happy and I did make two floating shelves so they can put their liquor bottles on. I do know the fit couldn't have been any better and I thanked The Lord as soon as they were all in place cause you know how that can be when you're trying to get the exact fit off site with no scribing needed which I couldn't ask for a smoother install. All in all a great build that was fun to make and I was finally able to make that cove cut I've been wanting to try on my table saw for quite some time now.

well i dont want to offend you, and ive been known to. first off your work is top notch ! what the client wanted was not in my opinion. pine for the bar top is low grade. so many other woods would have made the bar really stand out like claro walnut maybe. but i know you just did what they wanted and paid for. but overall you killed man.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Amazing project! While I could tackle that for myself, I can't imagine trying to keep customers happy during such a project.
Nicely done!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

The reflections are very "pure", you really went to town with this project!

It takes a few long looks at the photos to really appreciate the scale and layout, wonderful!
Glad it went smoothly too!
