I found this good looking wine box at the Smithville Community Gardens workshop.
It told me that it should be something else.
The transformation was pretty easy. I cut 2 shelves from some recycled maple drawers and added some cleats for the shelves. I added a store bought ceramic knob that I had on hand.
A latch was made from some scrap cedar that was in the scrap bin. And there you go, a practical medicine cabinet to hang above the toilet.
I made a French cleat for hanging. The finish is 2 coats of boiled linseed oil.
I do love recycling. With a bit of thought a lot of practical items can be made out of next to nothing.
