Fokker Dr 1 plane

This plane is made primarily of meranti. The main difficulty was to make the holes for the wooden dowels, so I had to build a JIG for them (See also the video from LBD). The number of parts is reasonable, and so is the build time. As usual, Alex did a lot of work, and the link to his video is below. The size of the Fokker Dr.I is approximately 40 (L) x 50 (W) x 25 (H) cm.

If you want to build this one you can find the plans on my website

Over my head!

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

This looks like another fun one Jan - nice job!
great looking model...would love to show that off in my house!
Dutchy, just watch out for lawsuits,
I didn't see anything about no parachutes.

I didn't see anything about it in the instruction video.

Getting closer to the Corsair plans I am waiting on, oh and the stagecoach too.

I've already suggested a SPAD or NEUPORT or SOPWITH CAMEL as mates for the Fokker D1.  Could also include an Albatross.   ;-)
Ready to fly the clear blue skies around the world though the trip might take longer than the build. Beautiful excellence as usual Jan.

Brother made a balsa kit of that when we were kids, I did a biplane. Love that vintage!
Awesome as always Jan!

Of course you need a dog house to go-with:

That's why I've engaged Perry Mason,

he's never lost a case.
