UPDATE - Christmas Cross

This is a Cross I just finished making. It's made out of Teak and likely will be a Christmas gift.
It took me a couple of days to make it. It's more difficult to make than it looks and requires a fair degree of accuracy.
I still need to apply a finish and it likely will be blonde shellac. I'm not sure yet and will do some finish test samples and see.
Stay tuned! ....

Thanks for looking!
Cheers!

Rick,
Nice work, that is a beautiful crucifix, and this project has inspired me to attempt to do the same.
I'm off to the shop now, later.

Looking forward to seeing how you did that! Nicely done…

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

That looks great and looks to be an interesting build Rick! It looks like half lap joints are used? This reminds me of one of LBD's puzzles!
Thanks Steve! It was more finicky in terms of accuracy than I expected. But fun!
Oh no!! .... like one of duckies puzzles? Gads!!
Here's an update on my Christmas Cross.
Two coats of 2 lb shellac. And one French polish coat with 1 lb shellac.

You're on the edge of a slippery slope if you're having fun with this.

It looks even better with the finish.
Any chance you could show the back side?
