Reindeer Family

I enjoy making these Reindeer and giving them away.  Ma and Pa are 7" tall and cut from a 4 x 4 Cedar Post on my 10" Rikon.  The children are 1-1/2" tall and cut from Walnut, Cherry and Poplar using my Hegner scrollsaw.  They are finished with Shellac.

Beauties Bird!
I love that reindeer pattern. Always wanted to try it.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Great bandsaw work.    Little ones pretty fine also.   Good gifts.

Nice; always like the reindeer.
These look great!

I'm guessing that the bigger ones could be a bit of a challenge with the tight curves on a 3 1/2 inch cut.
Very cool gifts. Nice work
I used a 3/16" blade on the Rikon Bandsaw and the turns were interesting.  It was a challenge and I enjoyed it.  The small ones were cut on my Hegner scrollsaw using #5 PS Woods Super Sharps which are great for thicker wood.
Those are great looking, I bet people love them. You have to be good with a scrollsaw to make those little guys.
