ok made a few pens for xmas gifts today. the top pen is a slim line in yellow heart, next is a pen from a mystery wood, next is another slim line from cherry burl and last an anvil pen in black and white ebony. all are finished with several coats of gloss lacquer wet sanded with micro mesh. the slim lines are chrome finish and the anvil is gun metal.
ive started a forum just for pen making because there has been a lot of pens posted lately.

Love the colors and style of the BW ebony!
I have a "lot" of that stuff sitting around.

Since you started a forum, you know what is next. No more pens for a while!
Like Splinter, I’m partial to the style of the ebony pen, but great work all around.
Nice,  the woods make the pens, with help from the finish, and the craftsmanship!

Nice looking pens! I gave all my blanks, kits, drills, etc., because I knew I'd never get to them. It was given with the understanding that I would get back an ebony pencil with the big lead and a smaller, purple pen for my wife. It's been a couple of years with no return. Not anyone who posts here, btw.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Sierras!… preferably the Elegant Beauty… compared to the Cigar,

The smaller EB on the left is the only one left in stock.

Why do people talk about size and then bulge out slimlines to the width of Cigars?
I’ve heard many disparaging comments from “curvy” ladies about the slimlines’ waistline.

hey i dont bulge em but i do like a little curve to the sides. so no anorexic pens in my supply ducks !

Beauty is in the mind of the beholder... mum loved me and the old man refuse to admit I was his.

Pottz,

I have a box of pen blanks bought 10 years ago.  Where do I buy the best pen making set up?  Suggestions please.

Petey

Very nice Christmas gifts Pottz, craftsman made with care, very personal.
Seeing this has stirred an interest in me, I've got a lathe that hasn't been used for anything since table legs quite a while back, and I keep looking for a lathe project or two.
To that end, I searched for pen kits, came up with Penn State Ind.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Nice looking pens. Like I posted in your new forum, I need to get into pen turning. I've got stacks of Mesquite cut-offs in the shop that would be a perfect for this type of project...
Nice pen's Larry. Ducky likes them too!!!
