Rockler Sign Making Kit Storage Box.

this was a quick simple box build for my two rockler sign making kits. something ive wanted to do for a long time as the cardboard boxes they came in offered no organization.

made from scraps of mahogany and plywood. finish was just two coats of water based general finishes poly. not a fan of water based finishes. did nothing to bring out the color of the wood. hinges were just something i had leftover. lid held tight with rare earth magnets on each corner. rubber bumpers on the bottom. and of course the box name routed with the sign templates. this was strictly for purpose not beauty !

added some pretty blue handles. had these left from some project so, why not !

Signs, signs, everywhere there's signs...nice box!
Any input from the sheriff on the design? 😄

Nicely done.  I was just contemplating making some organization boxes this afternoon.  Mine probably would not be as fancy as yours.

Good job... sure beats my pissant laser cut MDF boxes.

It's the handles and clasps that has always stumped me... makes it difficult to stack... yet without, difficult to lift... life wasn't meant to be easy!

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Nice! Retirement means finally having time to organize. 🙂
That's great storage box. I love organizational projects!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's nothing like that good feeling of getting organized in the shop. Nice home for those.

Looks good, I need to post my Milescraft sets in a box I made for them many years ago
It was dedicated to Mike Marvel from LJs days.

So how do you finish the "G" ?
...incidentally I made some mods to mine to make letters look better, I will have to include them as well

Regards Rob

Really nice box, rounded corners all around are a nice looking feature.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Really nicely done...not a huge fan of the blue handles...but the box is outstanding!

Mike

Looks like a well shaped storage box, hinges are cool and look ready to take some abuse!

It's nice to see that you went beyond "simple" with the lift recess and lettering, rivaling the Duckster's archive collection!
Blue handles?
thanks guys. so you say you dont like the blue handles ? i found em in a box of leftover stuff and i figured ill never have a use for em on anything else, so i figured, why not !
