Iron Rocking Chair refinish

My daughter found this chair in an auction and, knowing how I feel about Texas and my love for projects, bought it for me as a project chair to refinish. I love this chair. It is not "vintage" as it was apparently made in the '70's or '80's but it has a really cool look IMHO. The rust was challenging but with a good rust remover and lots of brushing it came off well.
I think it came out pretty good. I intended for it to sit on our front porch for decoration but my wife said no, " It is too nice for outdoors.", so it is now in my office. The thing is really heavy but it rocks well and is fairly comfortable. It will not rock over the back & fall over so it is very stable.

The frame is all cast iron and the seat is red oak. All the screws are stainless steel so it can go outside some day. The frame finish is oil-based black engine enamel (for the heat), the seat slats are stained with Minwax Expresso oil based stain with a Spar Urethane finish for outdoors. The colors are all oil-based enamel with a Spar Urethane top coat for protection. All hardware is stainless steel with SS lock nuts & washers.

Excellent restoration! As to being vintage, built in the 70s makes it 50 years old so maybe it is?
