Handle for Rotary Drill Shear

I saw these shears for sale on Facebook but I never buy anything on there any more. So I looked for it on E Bay and it was $10 cheaper there and came with a  hand deburring tool and six bits. But it had this hokey plastic framework that clamped around the spinning chuck ( real smart??). Instead of that framework you can put a handle in the threaded hole. So I made a mesquite handle with a 5/16 bolt inside.. I had to re-tap the hole in the shear as it was metric. The handle is finished with clear satin lacquer!

This shear sure works good but I'm going to try it against a fence as it is so fast cutting you can leave the line very quickly!!

Good save JJ....

Great to see I'm not a lonely bunny,

to get "inspired" by gadgetry... fortunately the supplied handle fits my Fe$tool,

all my other drills crapped out.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Hi Pottzy..All the angle grinder and drill have plastic handles any more!!

Hi Ducky, I mighta known you'd have one! Mine is  a little different in that it has a tapped hole right behind the upper wheel that I put the handle in. Mine did not come with the handle.
They sure work, don't they???
