Asymmetrical Shelf

I just finished this asymmetrical shelf unit in riftsawn white oak with a cerused finish. The video walks through the complete build process.

The client had an existing display case I built years ago (pre-YouTube!) and needed a matching stand after moving to a new home. The main joinery is half laps.

Here is a link to the video if anyone is interested in seeing how it was built.

Loved the use of the socks!

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Great techniques for those slots!
The finish is an interesting process, What type of paint was that (latex/enamel/?)

It is "odd" seeing the asymmetry, but clients, waddda you going to say?

Video is informative as always, the socks are a winner!
