My take on Mike Pekovich's hanging wall cabinet. I used quarter sawn white oak off cuts from another project. Finally got my most-used tools organized in one place.
What did I learn? Cut your through mortises from the outside in!
Nice cabinet.   Well done.

Great cabinet! Nicely done.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Nicely done Stapler, good looking cabinet. One question regarding your description: you say "Cut your through mortises from the outside in!". Does this include through dovetail ?  Just curious.
Eye for detail!

bookmatching that ambrosia maple is well thought out extra bling for shop storage. Great for inspiration !
now that cabinet shows respect for the tools. well done.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Good question regarding cutting the through dovetails from the outside, I didn't give that much thought because they were an experiment with combination of hand and machine work using jigs I saw on Mike Pekovich and Bob Van Dyck videos. Tails were cut on a table saw using a blade with flat top teeth, but ground at a 7 degree angle, then chiseled out the waste. Pins were cut slightly fat by hand, waste was routed out with a pattern flush trim bit, and then the cheeks  hand pared until the fit was good. I might have done as well doing everything by hand, but the oddball blade and router jig do speed things up and the results are easily reproduceable.
My inner Luddite says keeps whispering to keep doing it the old fashioned way though
Great looking cabinet, well done. You will have a warm and fuzzy feeling every time you see it.
