Frame to Cover Damage

My Best customer, Shawne, went on safari in Africa and shot a Zebra. Only fired a gun once in her life and  and made a good hit at 200 yds!
Then the stick-on picture hanger let go one night and damaged the corner  of the picture when it hit the floor. It was not an easy thing to repair and make it look good so she wanted this frame to trim out the whole thing.
It  is 17" x19 1/2"  and has a small cross section and is made of cherry and painted in satin black. It was very easy to make .
on the table saw with my miter sled .

 Cheers, Jim

I’ll bet you can fix stupid Jim. Nice fix on the frame. I never saw someone that shoot a zebra. Can you shoot them? You have interesting friends. Are they going to eat it? That would be like eating a horse with stripes.

Dr. Quackner

Thanks Ivan and Dr Q !!
I guess if you have enough money you can get a permit to shoot almost any animal. Money talks all over the world.
I was surprised when I saw the mounted  head  in her house. I don't know if the locals get to eat the meat. I sure hope so! I know the American Indians really liked horse meat. When I was kid and went to the Mickey Mouse Club movies every Wednesday with my little sister, we would get coupons for  a free burger or shake at Jet Burgers and we thought they were really good. They got shut down because they found the place was serving horse meat in the burgers. Maybe Zebra burgers would be pretty good!!! Maybe I'm part Indian!!

Sorry JJ, shooting wildlife (Zebras... with the exception to Alfred H.'s birds) hit at my conscience and preferred not to comment as I'm no Lazarus afficianado, past history is history...
However, I do  have issues with spelling mistakes,

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Nice frame. Very small cross section and lip, can't imagine cutting it on the table saw.
Thanks, Tom ! That sled makes it so easy and safe to miter  ! I  cut the contour of the frame members on the router table with a thin featherboard

Ducky you have a way of doctoring up anything. Who needs AI when the Duck is about??????

Jim I guess tastes around the world is different than it is here. If the Zebra’s are not extinct and the lions have eaten their fill I’m sure it’s ok.

The white Tailed deer back east which are over populated  because of the killing of all the wolves (I wonder who ate them,  you and the Indians?)You could make gourmet dog food from it.

I’ll bet there are zebra burger stands in Africa around zebra preserves. Yum.
