Lawn Ornament Stand

This is a metal working project. A customer bought one of these metal lawn ornament that spins around and has all these arms on it with spinners on the end of them. It was pretty heavy and the pole that went with it was very light duty and had 4 parts that screwed together. She wanted a strong stand that would not blow over in the wind. So I made this pole with 1 1/8" pipe with 4 solid steel prongs for feet plus one in the middle so there were 5 -  7/16" feet in the ground. All of them are welded to the center pipe. I had to cut off the top of the original pipe they gave her as it has the ball on top for a bearing. I turned it to fit into the top section of the pipe I made. It is all primed and painted an she placed a big rock on it for insurance against the wind

Nice upgrade on the stand! Busy bee, he is, Pottz!  I spent a couple hours doing a 30 minute repair on one of my gates. Couldn't find hinges to match, so it was hammer to shape, grind to fit and paint to match on the old one. Almost had to get the torch out. I was done after all that.

It surprising how someone will put a bunch of effort into a piece of art and cut corners on the stand. Nice upgrade!
