There is a forum here about pen making that is great for pen enthusiasts, however, there may be tad too many comments to wade through for anyone tempted by the concept but intimidated by the same.
While the liturgy of a pen is declining exponentially, the concept of pen making can take form in many other useful non-scriptable applications like what I consider as a potential prohibited weapon,
and this soft touch pen to help us old codgers with fat fingers on out yuppie phones... and the circuit board gives an illusion of smarts.
I formulated this script to pass on my layman’s views of steps required for basic pen making, being totally oblivious to all the better posts out there in the WEB.
However, for all those unfortunates that have missed alternative hits, this is my steps for pen making that some may use as a basic start and forever improve on and hopefully supplemented by detailed posts by others much better qualified than me.
The PDF was created back in 2017 and first posted on Lumberjocks, when I was more subjected to OOPsies and a tad less up my EGO self.
It should introduce newbies to some of the steps/tools you may not be aware of.

Hi Alex. Nice pens. Is that long green handled one called a stiletto? I guess they could be made in 22 caliber too!....a James Bond pen!!! I have that same arbor and nut that you use for my lathe. I make all my own bushings in brass and nylon. Brass is for turning the tubes and nylon is for polishing them because I use EEE and it will cut the brass if it touches it and make the tube black on the end. All very interesting and definitely something to write home about. The electronic circuit pen is of particular interest in regard to the construction method.
