Fruit Bowl (first project with new lathe)

I have been absent for a while. Computer problems so just busy making things.
This was the first project I completed on my new lathe. It's a 16-segment bowl made from white oak and recycled cedar deck posts. The bowl measures 8¾ inches in diameter and 4 inches high, and I finished it with several coats of spray satin lacquer.

Nothing special about this project, I just couldn’t wait to make something with my new Coronet Herald lathe. I plan to do a review when I get a chance.

Nice turning John. Maybe not something that is not special as you say, but way above my skills, and a beauty to look at. I hope to see more work from this new tool of yours.
