New Cane

I found this stick growing across the street about two years ago and cut it and debarked it. A cross section shows it is about 8 years old.  I used a piece for the handle and secured it with a 1/4" x 3" carriage bolt and epoxy.  Finish was two coats of shellac and three coats of poly.For decoration and strength the upper part was wrapped with paracord and then coated with poly.

I am now using the cane every day.
