Well, despite my feelings regarding the box, a co-worker saw it and wanted it. She has a small revolver that was wrapped in tissue paper and stuffed in a bag in her closet, and wanted it closer to her at night, without it being completely out in the open. I purchased some Kaizen foam, and cut it to size. Traced the revolver with their long nose marker, and cut out a nice little spot for it. Turned out pretty well all things considered!
Have a great day!

Great idea. Any plans to put a locking mechanism on it?

Thanks everyone!
Thorreain, no plans for a lock on this one. She has no children in her home, and wanted it easily accessible.
