Cribbage Board/Box - hand tool build

Since we are sharing our hand tool collections, here is something I made recently with hand tools. I did use a thickness planer to even out the stock and a cordless drill for the almost 250 holes, but the rest of the construction – including milling, resawing and joinery was done with only hand tools.

This box is cherry. The bottom is oak plywood which I hammer veneered some curly maple on to, and added a little spalted maple as well.

This is going to be a fathers day present.
