Rocking Chair

If y’all are from this side of the Mason Dixon line y’all know ya gotta sit and rock and jabber with the kin folks.

I have been making chairs for a whole lot of Years and one of my friends said why doncha make a rocking chair. I took my chair to the next level adding rockers to it and here they are. With an extra 2 X 6 and four more lag bolts it came out pretty good and I have been sellin them ’round here for a bit. I took a pattern off a rocking chair my wife has and cut the rockers with my jig saw. the seat and arms and back are all cut on the table saw then routed, glued and screwed together and the sanded so that either I or my customer can stain them and finish them how ever they wish. I like to use a natural maple stain or Honey Oak to stain them and cover it with semi gloss Spar Varnish. As I tell my customers they are going to have to renew the varnish yearly but if they do they will last several lifetimes.

Bill how much you getting for these if you don’t mind me asking?

I’ve been selling them for 75.00 but if I were in a different area I’d be asking 125 to 150
