THE BIG DRIVE

I called this THE BIG DRIVE as I wanted to imply a golf ball going in an arc .
This is just a proto type I made up but I think once I add a base it will be a good looking trophy .
Made from willow with some pretty wild grain and I anticipated some problems with getting the ball in the cage but luck was with me and it all went well with this fun project .
Done on the drill press and cut out with a coping saw and I got to try my shop made sanding sleeves on the spindle sander which worked well .

Fun project Klaus.

Well done Klaus. To describe my (former) arc you would have to add a 90deg. left turn just before the apex of the arc.

Thanks for your comment Jim .
Yes it was fun and a bit tense getting the ball in with the cross grain lumber I used .

That sounds like a trick shot Mike .
I would have to putt a bit of sod in the bottom and place the ball just outside of the cage to demonstrate my T shot .

That is COOL!!

Very nice, will make a unique trophy, maybe for a hole in one ball. How often do you get to play? I play with a group of 12 to 16 old guys and we play 4 days a week, sometimes 5, and we walk.

Fun little project, love the grain direction. Well done as always Kiefer.

If you made one for me , it would have to shank to the right at 40 degrees
