I was asked to make 6 chairs. All unique. For the table.

When I was asked to make the 6 chairs all unique? I was stumped and had to spend many nights trying to come up with a way to accomplish this challenge. ? They needed to compliment the fine table the owner had. Here is what came about and I’m very pleased with the results. Here are some more pics of the build and the result. I was very fortunate to have a friend lend me his Festool Domino to make quick work of the joinery. I might just have to splurge on one now that I’m hooked. ? African mahogany and Spalted maple finished with 5 coats of Tung oil and one of wipe on poly. And lots of elbow grease n 0000 steel wool. Kumal was a great poser for the cat pix and my awesome bro took all the photos. That is 2" memory foam in my make shift press and also my prized possession, my Krenov plane that my darling wife got for me before he passed. #bestwifeever??❤️

really nice! did you follow a design plan for the seat and frame?
thats a neat idea with the “special” boards on the crest rail.

Thank you very much all. They certainly were a joy to build.
I design/ build custom furniture so the only plans were a few pencil sketches as I always do. I did build a plywood mock up to fine tune the comfort of the chairs.
