Made this bowl for a solid piece of Spalted maple 11 in x 12 in x 7 in thick . I was for my wife for her birthday and our 30th anniversary , August /15/2016

Thanks everyone . I was planning on the base being a little different , but I hit some rotted wood and had to go till I removed it. Like I told my wife I have a basic idea of what I want , but in all reality the wood decides the end result .
