I built this mission style bookcase out of solid quartersawn white oak. The top is 1"thick and measures 14" wide and 48" long. The case is nearly 5’ high. Staying true to the mission style I used through mortise and tenon joinery pinned with square pegs. There are three shelves, all 1" thick quartersawn white oak. For hardware I used hammered iron handles and solid brass hinges with a dark patina.

  • Where did you get your plans (magazine article/publication)
  • What is approx amount of board feet of QS Oak used?
  • Any more details you can provide would be appreciated, I love it! Very nice!

Looks great! While there I also see two more for Stickley projects by Bob Lang as well… Cool!

As you may recall, I built Bob’s 21st Century Workbench as my very 1st major project. Bob does great work.
