HARVEST BOX

This box is made from hickory that has just the right look for this style and made good use of these scrap pieces of lumber and added a nice character . The corners are mitred and doweled and capped of with square buttons and I gave the lid a floating look and added a simple handle to finish the design.
The box is 11” W x 7” D x 3 3/4” H with beveled sides cut at 7 DEG. compound angle and lined with brown suede cloth sewn onto poster board .The finish is BLO and wax .
I wanted this to look like a old box .
This will go to our wood workers guild show .
