We have 2 German Shorthair who love to suck on our blankets so I surprised my wife with this chest. It is made of walnut and oak. The trees I cut down and milled into boards. It was my first try with Morse and Tennon joint. Had a ball and she was so surprised.
Nice piece, love the contrasting timber, what finish did you use, looks to have a sheen rather than a shine, pulled the colours out well without masking them.

Thanks. I used danish oil (natural) and just a clear lacquer. I was fortunate to use a sprayer for the finish. I rubbed in the oil.
Big fan of the contrasting woods, nice work.
