Flip top sanding station is made from Menards cheapo birch plywood and poplar. I researched a lot and found this from Lance http://lumberjocks.com/projects/82986. I really liked the double plywood sides and hardware he used. Watch the video on his build. I used the same hardware; full extension 100 lb drawer slides, and rides on a Harbor Freight mobile base.

My miter saw station before was just hooked up to a shop vac. It worked ok, the vac got a lot of the dust but I had to sweep behind it after a few uses. I have since added a hood connected to a dust collector. As seen in the pictures I made a whole new top with the built in hood.
The new top and built in hood is made from 3/4” and 1/4” melamine wrapped with maple edging. The curtain is from stripcurtaindirect off eBay who sells it by the foot. The dust collector port is the Mini Dust Hood from Rockler’s. To keep the power cord inside the curtain area, I have it ran through a grommet which is mounted into the side of the hood.
I was limited to how far forward to bring the hood because of the fence system. The curtain does its job by keeping the blow back inside the hood area and doesn’t interfere with the operation of the saw. Overall, it works pretty good and I don’t have to sweep behind the saw anymore.

Table saw storage cabinet is made from Menards cheapo birch plywood and poplar. The bottom drawer houses all my blades and inserts. Made from 1/2 mdf and has removable 1/8 Masonite dividers. All three drawers work great to keep all organized. 100 lb full extension drawer slides and rides on a Harbor Freight mobile base.

This planer cabinet is made from cheapo Menards birch plywood, 3/4 melamine, and poplar. I thought a pull out shelf would work good as a place to stack the boards as they are being ran through the planer. Two big drawers for the hand held power tools. All 100 lb full extension slides. Rides on a Harbor Freight mobile base.

I had leftover 3/4 melamine that was the perfect size for a new drill press table. The old was a bit wore out. I added a Rockler drill press fence a while ago. A bit pricey but works great.

That is a great miter saw station. I’m still lugging mine outside when I use it because of the dust. I can’t imagine my shop ever being as clean and organized as yours. Good job!!
