Rift Sawn White Oak & Walnut Keepsake Box

I started one day playing around with different curves and arches and came up with this. This is made from rift sawn white oak, walnut, and walnut veneered mdf. The lid is from my small stash of curly walnut. The box bottom is lined with ivory colored felt. The finish is nothing more than Danish oil. The woods complement each other very well. The pictures don’t give this justice. Most times I make boxes to give away as gifts to friends and family, but I’m keeping this one. Thanks for looking.

That’s a nice combination of materials. We especially like how you used the curly walnut to make a statement!
