Man's Valet Box

This is made from solid red oak and red oak veneered panels. To get the ebonized effect, I used India ink. Then top coated in satin lacquer.

I used the satin nickel Vertex stop hinges from Rockler’s. The nickel plated copper engraving was purchased from a maker on Amazon. The watch pillows were hand made from a maker on Etsy. I was able to purchase more of the same grey velvet to line the box bottom. The lid is rabbeted for the 1/8” glass panel installed by a local glass shop.
