Chess/Checkers Board

An Ash Chess/Checker Board inlaid with quarter-sawn sycamore and koa, end fields are inlaid with wenge, padauk, holly and curly birch – all done on our laser except for the walnut border. Oh and we did not turn the game pieces (we bought those!).

Nice job! Looks great. I need to make one of these for the house. My seven year old and I just started playing, and he really enjoys it. He’s pretty good when he’s paying attention. Our board is a cheap foldable game board that doesn’t sit flat. I think its time for an upgrade.

Very nice Terry, nice choice of woods
