Bloodwood Box

This one makes a statement. Its bold contrast, figured walnut lid, and simple lines are the reasons to add this to my personal favorites.
The body of the box is bloodwood, crotch figured walnut for the lid, quilted maple lid pull, and very dark wenge legs. Brass pins hinge the lid. Black velvet lined. Finished in lacquer.

It’s gorgeous!
I have a thing for wooden boxes.

Are the legs angled or are the sides added on an angle? I should look at this on my computer so I could have a better look

Thanks Debbie. The legs are tapered (both outside faces).
