Made from recovered old Kentucky bourbon barrel staves. The one on the left is 12 × 10.5 × 4. The one on the right is 12 × 10.5 × 3.
These old staves were just asking to be made into something different. As I was cutting the wood my wife wanted to know what I was drinking and why, while running power tools. The aged whiskey smell that came from the wood was a nice surprise. Cutting angles on this curved wood came to be a trick so that they matched.
I kept the burnt insides and sealed it in.
