Standing Tall

Cherry display cabinet with solid quartersawn cherry door panels. The design of this cabinet is heavily inspired by the work of James Krenov. Knife hinges are solid brass. Carved door and drawer pulls are of contrasting cocobolo. Interior drawers are solid cherry and alder with dovetail construction. The solid maple stand has birds feet at the bottom to enhance stability. The stand features inlay as an element. Surfaces are hand scraped and formed. Cabinet is finished with multiple coats of thinned shellac, polished and waxed.
