I wonder how much weight the sliding table will support? I have some 2" - 3" slabs up to 24" wide and 12' long I sometimes have to crosscut an end at a 45° angle. Some of them are a bit heavy.

What a saw that is. Safety aside it would make sense in a factory that churned out kitchens or fitted wardrobes to invest in a bit of kit like that, you don't need a highly skilled operator for it and there'd be some way of writing off tax on it.
