Recall Summary

Name of Product: 4-inch air angle grinders

Hazard: The spring-loaded safety switch can fail and allow the grinder to turn on even with the safety switch locked in place, posing a finger, hand or other laceration risk.

Remedy: Refund
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled angle grinder and return it to Direct Distributors or any Agri Supply Company location for a full refund.

Description: This recall involves 4-inch air angle grinders with model number 20687. The model number is printed on the packaging. The grinders have a blue handle and some models have the ASC logo on the top.

Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received one report of the safety spring failing, resulting in a finger laceration.
Sold exclusively at: Agri Supply stores in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia and online at from January 2015 to April 2016 for about $40.

One report results in a recall? What if the owner broke it through misuse? I guess it’s not a big deal if it only affects 200 sales but jeez, isn’t this a little overboard?
