Cable Drum Table Top Pt 2

Here is the progress so far:-
1. Routed the edge and rounded it over.
I used a straight bit with a top bearing deep enough to do the job.
The round over was a 5/8 round over bit
2. Cut  plugs for  the1 x 38 mm and 4 x 32 mm holes with respective size hole saws, you may notice the pilot bit was removed.  I used a , and dowel for the  8 x 6 mm holes  in the top side only. Once the glue was dry I used a trimmer to profile the tops of the plugs flush.
3. That worked out OK so I commenced the second table top.

Regards Rob

Do you plan to band the edge?

The Rockler Steamer is a good little unit for bent people and rumors have it you fit the bill.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Yes LBD your banding suggestion is going to be implemented.
Sadly no Rockler Steamer for me just some latex stretchy stiff

Holesawing with ease and without the tears

and for those that hate to read just as much as I do....
