Indian Pallet timber Credenza #5: Attempting to dodge the rain

In sheer frustration of having to pack up each day early due to overcast clouds and rain, I had a brainwave to relocate onto my veranda
so I hauled squaring equipment clamps and glue upstairs to try and get some progress.
It wasn't really that productive, a lot of running up and down for gear  but allowed me to be able to glue up the frames, square them and apply clamps to the three Raised Panel doors.

Happy was he.

I guess I couldn't do it with company but I needed to make some progress.

In the morning it was briefly sunny so I re comfirmed squareness and cut the doors to an interference fit.

Gave everything an initial sanding.

Apart from the two drawers I believe there should be a 3 to 4mm clearance to allow the doors to open without binding.

Need to continue with my nail hole plugging

Something I realised after assembling everything the M & T work the tenons should have been in the rails and not the styles,  but its
a minor cosmetic error.
Next I am trying to figure out how I can profile the face of the doors, obviously not able to do it with the drop saw, but I have trick up my sleeve!

Regards Rob

Looking good! I’ll be excited to see how those decorative details pop when you get some finish on them.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Some nice construction work on those doors, very solid!
looks great so far rob.
that sander looks like one that disappeared a few years back ? 😏

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Do your feet smell for open toe?

like mine,

If you noticed the chain... I managed to hide the ball.

but I have trick up my sleeve!
Bet the fingers never leave the hand!

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
