This is part 7 in a 7 part series: Indian Pallet timber Credenza

  1. Introduction
...
  1. More Nail and Knot work. Face Profiling and Whisker removal
  2. Anybody built Face Frame Items using inset Euro hinges?

DeI went shopping for two sets of European Hinges for the Credenza
I found a huge section dedicated to Euro hinges.

I found none! zip, zilch zero of the type I wanted
On the display showing at least 66 euro items a few were Inset but all were for  "Frameless" not for "Face frames"

This brought back memories of when I made my Shoe cabinet in Sep 2017, I found the same issue and modified the cabinet internals to suit my bucket load of Euros!

pay attention to the block on the face frame.

I in this particular case I didn't make the face frames wide enough.

This is the Euro I am after

Now back in 2017 I was told they were not available in Australia from Lincon Sentry the biggest hardware suppliers in QLD.
So not deterred I began searching the internet for a few days, by sheer chance/luck  I found a YouTube video showing how to modify a straight Euro with an adapter
You use a Blum hinge 71B3650 and an Insert plate 175H5030-21

However I found they were almost as elusive as Mary the Tasmanian Devil.

But wait

https://www.amazon.com.au › Blum-175H5030-21-adaptor
Blum 175H5030.21 CLIP Top Inset Face Frame Adapter with 9mm Clearance, Nickel
$19.15
Plus the hinge $8.00 or there a bouts totaling $27.00 + and then possible delivery charges.
Do you think I will sink about $120.00 into a scabby pallet timber credenza?

who knows the fix?
