Working with :- 8 x 5M x 75mm x 25mm 2 x 4M x 75mm x 25mm 2 x 2.5M x 75mm x 25mm 11 x 1.5M x 75mm x 25 mm all rough sawn timber
After I examined the timber they were all straight enough to feed into my thicknesser by their above lengths intact. I didn't edge joint them, they just got face thicknessed alternating on each face until all the rough sawn marks were removed.
A couple failed at knot sections but the bulk cleaned up OK. This is the A side
This is the B side a few dings and undersized spots but mostly usable.
You may wonder why I didn't edge and face joint them. The reason being I don't have gear big enough to do the task. That will come when I decide to build something cut them to a manageable length and continue.
All that is needed now is somewhere to stash and sticker them so they are preserved ready for use! They are all now sitting at about 22mm face thickness and edges still remain at 75mm rough sawn.
