Flowerdale – "Deliverance" on the Road.

Boys and Girls,

This has nothing to do with woodworking… other than if things didn’t work out, I wouldn’t be here posting all my puzzle projects.

This stemmed back to my skiing days when I used to spend every spare moment I could up in the snow and on  “the grass”
in summer.

While I never made it to the snow in this story, the 48 hours it covers is more than what would happen to a normal person in a lifetime.
It tells of my trip to the snow on opening weekend, my incident in Flowerdale, the stoppage at Yea and eventual bus trip back to Melbourne.

While I have taken poetic license in dramatizing some of the incidents as it is hard to write mood music, like in films, it is 100% true and each misfortune actually happened.  I kept a journal at every opportunity as I quickly realised this was a story worth re telling and being so event filled, I could easily forget some of the details.

I used to work for the public service and we had DAWs (Drinks After Work) every Friday night.  When I changed jobs, we still had these regular event.  During one of these events I retold my Flowerdale incident to our crowded rabble.
A few weeks after the tale, one of their new contractors name Ken X. was driving through Flowerdale when the oil light in his fairly new Mercedes lit up.  Recalling my tale, he didn’t stop but drove to Melbourne before he got the light checked… It turned out that he cooked something which cost him a few thou’ shekels to get fixed.

Download my Flowerdale tale,  grab a strong beverage or two,
sit down and enjoy with me the fact that you haven’t or hope never will, experience such events in a short 48 hour stint.

Whether you believe this story, like Ken did, or you think I "smoke" too much,

you must admit it would make a good “born looser” movie starring a young Burt Reynolds.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

i remember this story from that other place. a true "duck" tail for sure !

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Definitely a duck tail!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

OMG that prompts me to post my Snowtown tale, that should get a barrel of "laughs" too.
As with pottzy Loved the recant  too.
A nice diversion from wood splinters Keep up the good work!

Some days you just look back and wonder why you ever got out of bed......
