Craftisian Labs #11: Introducing Craftisian Zero & Plus - support the site, lose the ads

This is part 11 in a 13 part series: Craftisian Labs

If you've ever found the ads a bit much - or wanted to do a little more for this community - now you can.

Craftisian Zero - $4/month or $40/year
Remove every ad from Craftisian, everywhere, forever (well, for as long as you're subscribed). That's it. Clean browsing, nothing else changes.

Craftisian Plus - $7/month or $70/year
Everything in Zero, plus rich private messages - send photos, links and formatted text in your private messages. A blocklist feature is coming soon too.

Both plans directly support Craftisian. No investors, no ad targeting, no nonsense. Just members keeping the lights on.

If you're happy with the free experience, nothing changes for you. The site stays free. These are entirely optional.

Outstanding....good job Martin!

Martin, you can make contact through many channels these days. A forum is one of them. Maintaining it takes time and, of course, money, and I think there are quite a few users here, myself included, who would be willing to make a financial contribution for that. But unfortunately, the Craftisian monitoring has not been optimal lately, so my question is in advance whether you are willing to make changes to this.?

point well made dutchy ! ill pay no problem but yes the forum needs more attention paid to issues that arise.

I hope Martin gets enough subscribers to cover his operating costs. This site is important enough to me that I’m happy to contribute $40/year to help keep it going. I rarely use PMs, so the Plus plan is not interesting to me. I do like that Martin didn’t try to force everyone into a paid plan by removing features, etc.
This is just an example.

Still there. πŸ˜’.

It is not clear to me why not all contributions of this member can be removed, because if necessary, a corrected contribution is the basis upon which to build.

ron i had sent martin a pm asking why the zero plan doesn't indicate it like the plus plan does. i think those that join that plan should be recognized ? i know others that joined that one also. it might help encourage more to join ?

Pottz, I figured that Martin decided to recognize Plus subscribers as both a thank-you to them and as a bit of peer pressure to nudge Zero subscribers to upgrade to Plus. It doesn’t really matter to me if I get a little 0 beside my name so others know I contributed. I have no idea if a Zero identifier would help non- subscribers join.
maybe, maybe not, but it couldn't hurt ! it's just nice to know people are willing to help out something that gives them pleasure.
