This is part 10 in a 10 part series: Craftisian Labs

  1. Blog Series Are Back!
...
  1. Cropped Project Pictures are Gone
  2. Build Plans Marketplace Just Launched

I am happy to invite you all to our brand new Craftisian Build Plan Marketplalce - and perhaps do some last minute gift shopping that would also support Craftisian 🎄 We are launching with the four build plans from Norman Pirollo and I hope many of you will consider listing the original build plans here on Craftisian soon. The plans are one file digital downloads - either PDF or ZIP archive - which buyer can access after the purchase. The payments are online, secure and instant. What's cool is that plans will be linkable with the projects soon giving them a full Craftisian integration and exposure.

In addition to plans, the Craftisian Independent Sellers can also list full-featured video courses on our platform. Norman just published a second comprehensive course Woodworking: Design To Making consisting of 21 modules plus eBook.

There is also a new My Purchases page that is linked from the member menu (opens by clicking on your profile image in the right corner). It displays all purchased items with the important details and a quick access button to enter course or download plans.

I will write more about the awesome Seller Dashboard soon. It features the stats, reporting of the sales, customer list and management of the courses and plans. If you are interested to learn more and maybe even get onboarded, just post a comment or message me please.

Obviously this is no get-rich-quick scheme, but I believe we can turn this into a thriving marketplace of the authentic craft education and innovation. One step a time...

Any feedback is appreciated as always.
Enjoy.

Martin, I think this is your most amazing addition yet!
Such an amazing resource for woodworkers!!

Toxins Out, Nature In - body/mind/spirit

This sounds interesting Martin. I will look into it, thanks.

Forgot to mention - Dutchy will soon be listing his plans too.

Can we list free plans or do they need to be priced?

The early bird gets the worm but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.

damn martin i did ask santa for something special but i didn't know he was you ? wow, over the top man.
guys pleas spread the word about a wood heaven no one will believe exists !!!!!!

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

I’m not like to purchase any plans. If I were, though, I think I’d want to see thumbnails of all the pages (or a representative subset of them) as a preview before I paid. Either that, or have a money-back guarantee.
like the plan to have plans

Ron

How about automatically following a thread that you have commented on, so you don't have to hit the follow replies button?  I always forget and then miss posts.

Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.

No idea why, but when I start "new" thread/blog/breakfast.... the cursor is paced at the start of the current pane.

Sorry "M"... this has been a long issue.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Nice upgrade Martin - it's good to see that Dutchy is going to have his plans available.

Feature request - would it be possible to have a "Go To Last Reply" button for threads we are not following? As it is now, unfollowed threads have to click "Next 20 Replies" many times to get to the end of a thread. Seems like it would be helpful for newcomers.

What seems to work for me on such a thread, I hit the bell, refresh the page on my browser (Firefox) and I seem to be taken down to the last 20 comments... not the last, but less multiples of 20 requests.

If you follow comments / replies - it takes you to last ones.

I am planning to make an update that will add readership tracking to all comment threads (not just followed ones). With that it will be easy to add go to the last ones upon refresh.

I would love to share my plans here, still navigating on how to do just that though.
Some days I feel old, haha!

Hi Martin
Feature request - do we have a specific place for these?
Any chance of adding date/time stamps to the forum posts?
