Haven’t been able to get out to the “Wood Shop” in a while. Fighting sinus crud and the weather’s been a bit chilly, for this Texan. Forties and drizzle. The 30 by 40 foot, uninsulated hangar, is not easy to heat up, so I’ve not ventured out. Being out of town a few days hasn’t helped.

So, to “help” I’ve been enjoying looking at the beautiful creations that are shared on this sight. I’ve only seen a small sampling, so far, but I’m amazed at the collective talents that are evident on this site. Those that have never turned raw wood into a finished item, do not know the feeling when stepping back and admiring the finished item, or the smiles and thank you’s of a gift well received. Can’t forget to mention, the feeling of contentment at the completion of the most advanced technique to the simplest.

If I had been smart, I would have sectioned off an area, in the hangar, insulating it so as to make it more comfortable, then I would be out there despite the cold and heat. Until the weather improves, and I feel better, I’ll be content to sit in front of the fire, admiring the wonderful creations shared by my woodworking “family.”

In closing, thanks to everyone who has shared a creation, a technique, a jig or fixture, a blog, a forum, you keep building my desire to make dust and chips. Now, it’s time to get back to the “porn.”
