The Waffle Stitch
I love this pattern. First of all, it is fun because you are changing things up for each row. Secondly, it makes the hat so thick and warm!! The result is quite squishy. Love it.

Possibilities
Because of the thick squishiness, I can see how this would make a good tea towel. … and blanket!!! Oh my!!
